Description of Concept:

- Memorial / Public Park
The design of the memorial is intended to effectively symbolize the history and future of the
immortal Lithuanian Spirit. The landscape will be integrated within the design of the buildings,
responsive to the significant historical elements of the site.
- Information Center
Exhibition areas will be used for display of Lithuanian cultural historic information from 1918 to
the present. An assembly space adaptable for future films, lectures about human rights, and
exhibitions is also included.
- Archives
This will be a public research center housing KGB archives, information on individual
Lithuanian victims, international documents concerning Lithuania's occupation, and office
space for its staff and specific research organizations.
